Happy Friday!

Yay...its Friday! These pictures are from awhile back, but my little sister just sent them to me and I just love them! Avery is such a fun, playful, sweet girl! This week has been rough though...we think she is teething but she has been running fevers and has been very sad! We almost took her to the doctor yesterday, but her fever had started going down. We will see how she does today. It is so sad when she doesn't feel good and we can tell shes in pain. Hopefully she will have some new teeth very soon and be back to her old self!

Also, I hope she perks up a little bit this morning because we have a photoshoot scheduled with MCKMAMA!! I'm very excited!

Have a great Friday everyone!

Bananas and Baking

Today we are baking! We are hosting a Game Night for our BASE56 volunteers tomorrow night, so we are baking cookies and cupcakes! It's a perfect day for baking with it being snowy and cold. I'm thankful for my sweet little helper!

Playing with the sprinkles

Running around with the sprinkles...yes, she is practically running now!

Have I told you how much Avery loves bananas??

Here she is stuffing them in her mouth...as fast as she can!

And stuffing...

She must have atleast 5 little bites in her mouth right now, but bananas are SO GOOD!

Buddies

We are really missing Gabe this weekend. He is away at State Wrestling, so its a girls weekend. We are ready for G to come home though. This is the second night of him being away, and we are ready! I can't imagine if he had to travel a lot with his work. I have a whole new appreciation for Mom's who do this on a regular basis (Meagan, you are amazing!). I'm used to being with Avery all day, but I always look forward to G coming home from work. I usually end up talking his ear off ( usually when he wants to chill), but he is always so sweet to let me talk after long days of being home. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love and am so thankful to be a stay at home mom, but I do enjoy adult conversations! I have been trying to get together more often with friends, which has been wonderful, but G always gets to listen to me when I'm most chatty!

We have stayed pretty busy while G has been gone. We have run many errands, done much party prep, cleaned, done laundry, played, but unfortunately it hasn't included many naps. I have had a tough time getting Avery to nap lately. I think its because I'm starting to wean her from nursing. So she is used to nursing to sleep for her naptimes, but now she doesn't nurse at those times. We have cut the nursing times down to only 2 ( morning and night). I think it will eventually get easier, but right now its a bit of a struggle since her routine is being changed. Hopefully soon we will have a NEW ROUTINE! I love routines and so does Avery!
So, that's what we're up to!

Attempted to get a good picture of us this afternoon! Wasn't really happening, but I sure do love my buddy!

Have a great weekend!!

A VERY special party to plan...

Yes, we are getting ready for A VERY special PARTY! My sweet friend Heather made Avery a tutu for her first birthday party and today Avery got to try it on for the first time! She loved it! She looked absolutely precious walking around in it! She was so intrigued by it! Heather just needs to shorten it up a bit for our petite little one and then it will be perfect for her fun celebration! Thank you so much Heather for putting the time into this perfect gift for Avery! You are such a dear friend!

I ordered Avery a special shirt for her birthday off of Etsy.com! Inital Here Gifts did a great job, I love how it turned out!

Let the party planning and preparation continue!! We are so excited for it!

Wrestling and Valentine's Day

The Regional wrestling tournament always lands on Valentine's Day weekend, which isn't an issue because we have never made a huge deal out of Valentine's Day. I told G that as long as he cherishes me, then I'm good with that! And thankfully he does a very good job at that on a regular basis! So, Avery and I went up to stay at my Dad's on Friday night so we could go to the tournament on Saturday. On Friday afternoon we got together with Ali, which was so much fun to see her pregnant! Wish we could have chatted longer, but Avery had definitely hit her wall of patience. She did really good though.

We had fun hanging out at Grandpa and Grandma's for a night. Avery spent most of the night showing off her new walking skills. She didn't sleep very well, but I'm glad we got to see them.

On Saturday we went out for a girls lunch and then Avery and I went to Heritage to watch some wrestling! G's team qualified 2 guys for state! We are very proud of G's hard work over this wrestling season. It has been an extremely busy work season overall for G, so we are VERY thankful for him! There is absolutely no way I could be a stay at home momma without G's hard work. He is an amazing provider and leader for our family! Back to the wrestling..Avery did so well, she was so patient to sit there for 3 hours or so. She definitely loves being with her Daddy and cheering on his team!

For Valentine's Day, we had our normal Sunday morning routine. G was so tired after the full weekend of wrestling and teaching at church and I was running on practically no sleep while trying to get over a cold. So, we went to Chipotle as a family for VDay...that was my preference and idea! It was perfect for our family! Thank you G for loving us the way you do. We are very blessed to be your girls and we love you very much!

Our Valentine girl all bundled up to go to church! She was so tired that after I put her jacket and hat on, she just lied there until I was ready to walk out the door. Such a sweetie!

Avery was barely hanging on...she got so tired at the wrestling tournament

Showing off her walking skills!

What we've been up to...

Its been a busy, but very fun week! I had some girlfriends over on Tuesday night! It's always great to see these girls. We started getting together ( mainly 4 of us) a couple of years ago when all of our husbands worked together. It started out as a "Pastor's wives group", but has now turned into somewhat of a "Mommy group". None of our husbands work together anymore, but I'm thankful we have continued to get together just us women! Since we started getting together, 3 of us have had babies and Sarah is now pregnant and expecting in June! I wish we got together more often, but with everyone's busy lives we plan a get together every other month ( I know, doesn't seem like much, but the months fly by). We invite other women too, so this week we got to meet Jessica who is also expecting! So fun to talk prego and mommy talk! I made some red velvet cupcakes for a cute Valentine look!
The rest of this week has been busy with random projects, party planning, laundry, teething, seeing friends and tonight we have a group of ministry leaders for BASE56 coming over for a meeting.
Tomorrow, G's regionals wrestling tournament starts up in Denver. So Avery and I are headed up to stay at my Dad's for the night and then we will catch some of the tournament on Saturday. I will definitely be taking pictures this weekend! Hope you have all had a great week!

Here are some cute pictures of the walking and teething girl! She has been walking so much more on her own! And she is definitely teething! She now has 3 teeth on the top!!

A loves her bathtime every night!

A took a short afternoon nap in her highchair of all places! She was watching her praise video and fell asleep...very cute!

Valentine Cupcakes! I meant to take a picture of all us girls that night and totally forgot. I ended up having the worst stomach ache while they were over, so my brain wasn't thinking. I didn't even try the cupcakes until the next day...

11 Months!

Avery is 11 months old! She is getting more and more adventurous each day! Today I found her IN the kitchen cabinet! She always loves to play with the doors and unpack "her" drawers, but I looked away for a moment and then found her inside the cabinet! Hilarious! When I took her picture she was looking at me like "What, I'm busy in here!"

I can't believe she is going to be a year old in just one short month! I am already planning her party and loving every minute of it!

Also, today she took about 10 steps on her own! She has taken many steps here and there, but never more than 4 steps! We were so proud of her! G got to witness it because he came home for lunch! It's so exciting to watch her grow and change everyday!

We love you Aves!

Unpacking her bib drawer! One of her favorite things to do...

Our Saturday!

G and I red boxed Julie & Julia last night. I had no idea what the movie was even about (we are so out of the loop when it comes to movies), but I was pleasantly surprised that it was about blogging and cooking! I honestly just saw that it was based on two true stories, we always love true stories! When I got in the car, I asked G to please forgive me if it was a pure chickflick. Sure enough...it was! BUT, G is such a incredible husband, he sat and watched the entire movie with me and didn't once complain! How sweet he is! He just kept saying "I'm interested in what you are interested in!" I sure love him! I would recommend this movie to most women. It did drag on a little, but to me, it was inspiring!

G coaching! Have I mentioned was a great coach he is? I love watching him coach, it brings a lot of joy to my heart!

Avery hanging out at Daddy's wrestling tournament! She lights up when she actually sees Daddy coaching. Once she saw him she kept pointing at him saying "dada, dada"! We were happy the tournament was in town and it surprisingly got done very early compared to most tournaments! That was a sweet surprise for our family. We actually got to hang out with Daddy on a Saturday! That has been rare lately!

Avery got to see her Muttie and Pop Pop briefly in the morning. They stayed the night so they could go up skiing. They got here after she went to bed, so they were only able to get some early morning Avery love before they left.

Poor girl...

Its been a rough couple of days...Avery is cutting her 5th tooth! She has definitely been pretty miserable from the teething, runny nose and all. She hasn't been taking very good naps lately either, so that has made it even harder! Poor girl...its hard growing up!

Just this week she has consistently been saying "Ma". It is precious!

Thankfully I was able to get some smiles from her! We made a trip to Costco and when we got home, she had fun pushing the pretzels around the kitchen!

Saying Goodbye

This past weekend we had to say goodbye to Uncle Scott, Aunt Jayne and all the cousins. They are headed to CA for 9 months and then off to Germany for the next 2-3 years. They all came to our house for some fun and chili! We all went down to the park nearby our house and then just hung out. It was great to see them one last time and we are certainly going to miss them very much! We already do!
