Project #5: Kitchen

This project was completed months ago, but I still want to document it!

Here is what we started with in the kitchen...

Take notice of the RED...

I decided to paint the kitchen with the extra paint I had from the office because I love the color so much!

In progress...

The lovely mustard yellow will be going in the near future!

Finished!

I love the new color!
Someday I'll get super ambitious and tackle those cabinets!

For the record, I wish my kitchen was always this clean with fresh flowers! This is a VERY RARE occasion!

Avery's first day of Kindergarten!

A new season has begun for our family...we now have a school-aged child! It amazes me everyday how the days can feel so long, but the years truly fly by!

We're so excited to watch Avery grow, learn, flourish, and love kindergarten!

So hard to watch the girls say goodbye, Sophie was so sad!

Avery and Ashlyne have been friends since birth!

Meeting Mrs. Krause for the first time!

Owen turns ONE!

We had Owen dedicated and celebrated his 1st birthday on the same day! We were much later in dedicating him, but I guess that can be expected for the third child. We decided dedicating him around his 1st birthday would be very special for all of us. We're so thankful for all our parents and family who came to celebrate and bless him!

We are crazy about this boy "tank"! We can't imagine what life would be like without our "Owie". Such a chill champion you are! We love you!

Project #4: Front Door

Finally, I painted the front door! I have wanted to do this project from the day we moved in.  Our front door was faded and sporting a lot of brass, which I do not like one bit!  Eventually I would like to get new hardware, but for a temporary fix, I spray painted the hardware.

Here is what we started with.

First, I spray painted the hardware and removed the brass foot plate.

Close of up of the spray painted brushed nickel hardware.  Such an improvement from the beaten up brass.

Finished product!  Now we just need a new light fixture!

 The inside view

I'm so happy with how this project turned out! I plan to paint our back door black as well.
