Praise!

Avery is feeling much better today! She has been extremely talkative, smiley, playful, and highly motivated to continue her crawling "training". She spent some time with just Daddy this afternoon while I went out and had some "momma time". Yay, I got my toes done! It felt so nice to just relax for an hour!

We are thanking God for healing Avery! Praying she gets better and better each day!

"napping" (She played all morning...without taking a nap) That's right...that flu has no right to invade her body!

Stinkin Flu

Well...as of yesterday, Avery had a confirmed case of the flu ( most likely H1N1 because that is the only type of flu they are seeing right now). Thankfully we were prompted to take her in. We thought she was running a fever because of her teething. But after awhile and a bit of irritability, we decided to take her temperature again. She was running a 103.7 (Scary) fever. So, we thankfully got her in right away to the doctor. Sure enough...the flu. Poor Avery, has recently gone through a sinus infection, croup, and now the stinkin flu! With the news of the flu, right away I was overwhelmed with fear. And of course, right when I got home, the first story I saw on the news was about the swine flu and the many children that have sadly lost their fight to it. I immediately decided the enemy did not have the right to implant that fear in my heart and mind. Jesus is our healer and he already did everything on the cross to heal Avery from all sickness! I believe she is healed from this stinkin flu and I say in Jesus name, it must LEAVE! Amen!

Here we are...sad that we missed Daddy's football game, but Avery just got done soaking in a nice warm bath!

Road trip to Durango

Over the weekend, Avery and I took a road trip with my mom ( YaYa) to Durango to see Auntie JJ and Uncle Adam. From the Springs it is a 5 1/2 hour drive, but Avery did so good! We made one stop both ways to feed her and I sat in the back with her for a bit, but she was such a trooper the whole weekend. It was fun to see Jenny and Adam's new home. Jenny recently had shoulder surgery, so it gave us a great reason to make the trip!
We were able to see Adam's work, walk around downtown Durango, go to the farmer's market, hike, make homemade ice cream and we saw many houses and neighborhoods that Jenny and Adam are considering. It was a full weekend, but I'm glad we made the trip.
The hike was very beautiful. Many of the aspens around Durango had already lost their leaves, but there was still so many magnificent fall colors! I carried Avery in her Bijorn for the hike; definitely gave me a great workout! I was proud of Yaya, she is only 21 weeks out of her knee surgery and she is already hiking!
It was the longest road trip Avery has ever taken and it was fun and successful!

Loving that apple!

Avery enjoyed nawing on an apple core for the first time! She really liked it!

Biggest Fans

Here we are cheering on the RAMS. It was a cold one tonight against Douglas County, but we are Gabe's biggest fans! Unfortunately, we had to leave at the start of the 4th quarter because it got just a little too cold for Avery girl. She looked like a little Eskimo tonight!

We are so proud of Gabe and all of his hard work and devotion he has put into his team. We didn't come away with another win, but we are still Gabe's biggest fans!

Time in Denver...

Avery and I had a fun trip to Denver the other day! We first stopped by Grandpa and Grandma's office to see them! Grandpa treated us to lunch and I meant to take pictures, but unfortunately I forgot! :(

After lunch, we went to see Avery's Auntie Jayne and cousins. We didn't get to see Amy because she is a big kindergartner now, but we had a great time visiting with Jayne, Lydia, Ava and Brody! Brody has gotten so big in just 2 months! He is such a handsome boy!

Pumpkin Patch

Avery picked out her very 1st pumpkin today at the Colorado Pumpkin Patch. It was so much fun taking her to the pumpkin patch for the 1st time. I grew up going to the pumpkin farm every year! I loved going to pick out our own pumpkins! This patch had so many fun things for the kids to do. Avery got to go down the hay slides with Daddy and pet a goat with Mommy! I must mention that it was Gabe's first time going to a pumpkin patch too! So it was a big day for the Jenkins family!
