Avery's 5th Birthday!

We had such a fun time celebrating our 5 year old! I still can't believe I actually have a 5 year old now! Avery got to have a few different birthday celebrations; a pre-school snack time celebration, play-date party with her friends, and a family pizza party. It is amazing to see how much she has grown up even in the last 6 months. She's growing up to be such a young lady! We're so proud to call her ours!

Project #1: Fireplace

I completed my first home project!

The fireplace was dying for a facelift!

It was dated and that brass couldn't go soon enough.

I'm so happy with the finished product and the amazing difference it makes in the room! 

 This is what our family room looks like right now. The mantle decor isn't complete, but I'm so happy with how it turned out! 

While painting the fireplace, I decided to go ahead and paint the 10 buck tv stand I found on craigslist.

It was brown. 

I can't wait to tackle more home projects!
