SHOW US WHERE YOU LIVE FRIDAY- MASTER BEDROOM

I thought I would join in the Home Tour today...here is our Master Bedroom.

Avery was trying to wake up for the morning...she wasn't quite ready to wake up!

We were able to get this new bedding set for our 2nd Anniversary as a gift from my mom! I love the colors together, thank you mom so much! What a nice gift!

The view from the door. We have two huge windows in our room. I have always wanted to buy curtains for them, but because we hope to move from this apartment in November, I think I will hold off on the curtains. To make space for "Brownie", we had to push the bed against the wall...Oh, and I should mention, this is probably the 4th arrangement of furniture for our room. I love rearranging rooms and I do it often!! Gabe has learned to just let me do it when I get an arrangement idea in my head! :)

Here is our cozy rocker/recliner. We like to call him "Brownie". Very comfy! We both spent a lot of time sleeping in "Brownie" when we brought Avery home. She would only sleep in our arms! So I'm thankful we purchase "Brownie" soon before her birth!

Yep, our ironing board lives in our bedroom...we are making due with no laundry room! I would like to take it down, but we use it too often so it doesn't make sense to keep putting it up and taking it down. So, it works.

Our room is simply decorated with photos from our wedding day!

Father's Day Weekend!

We had a very eventful Father's Day weekend! We took Avery to the pool for the first time, she absolutely loves being outside, so of course she enjoyed the pool! She looked too cute in her sun hat! On Saturday, we went to St. Francis for Gabe's 10 year high school reunion (we sadly didn't get any pictures). We actually missed the banquet at the school (it was a rough afternoon with Avery), but thankfully Gabe still got to see many of his classmates that he hadn't seen in years. It was a lot of fun for him to catch up with them and hear how they are doing. Being from such a small town, he literally grew up with all of his classmates; he had a class of 40. It was fun for me to meet them as well!
On Father's Day, we had a nice breakfast outside and then went on a short, but very hot family walk with Gabe's parents. We just hung out and then we made our way back to the Springs. It was Gabe's first Father's Day and every time I mentioned what a great Daddy he was, I could see the happiness all over his face! I'm so thankful for you Gabe! You are such an incredible Daddy to Avery, she is so blessed! I see how much she admires you, especially when you get home from work and her whole face turns into a SMILE! She looks forward to dancing and playing with you. I just know she will always want to dance with you! We both love you so much! Thank you for all you do for us! We couldn't be more thankful to be YOUR girls!

Happy 1st Father's Day!!!

Daddy just got home from work...its playtime!

Avery is either kissing or eating her duck!

Girl time!

As I mentioned in my previous post, my mom (YaYa) had double knee replacement surgery almost a month ago. She was very brave to get them both done at the same time, but thankfully she is well on her way to recovery. She had her surgery done down here in the Springs by a very well known surgeon. So that made it easier for us to visit her in the hospital and rehab hospital. Unfortunately, she didn't have a great experience at the rehab hospital. They were actually doing a terrible job caring for her, so she went home a lot earlier than expected. Gabe, Avery and I were able to get her home, but couldn't stay with her for an extended time. So Jenny flew home from Durango ( she just moved there) to care for her for a week. Then Steph flew in from NYC to stay with her for the next week. I picked Steph up from the airport and Avery and I went to Greeley to hang out for a few days. It was nice to have some girl time with my mom and sisters. We haven't had that in a long time, so it was fun! I'm so proud of my mom. She has gained so much strength in such a short time. She was already taking short walks around the block, that's amazing! I enjoyed the time we spent with her in Greeley!

Here are a bunch of photos from the last few weeks....its been busy! We took a lot of photos!

Auntie Stephie didn't want to say goodbye to sweet Aves!

Here is my mom about 2 weeks after her surgery. Jenny drove her back down to the Springs for a follow up appointment. She looked great, she was already walking without her walker. And came to my 2nd floor apartment! I was so impressed because when I was with her right after we got her home, she was very ill and could barely talk because the meds were making her so sick.
